Bluegrass Chapter Meeting

Meeting Title: October 2015 Chapter Meeting
Meeting Details:

Topic: Natatorium Design and Dehumidification

These facilities are notoriously complex to design and can be expensive to operate. The presentation covers the many critical system design aspects of a Natatorium which include the fundamentals of psychrometrics, dew point, humidity/condensation control, moisture load calculation, air distribution, ventilation requirements, water chemistry and how to optimize your operating conditions to minimize operating costs.

Speaker:  Geoff Brown

Geoff is one of 4 regional sales managers at Seresco, a dehumidifier manufacturer, and works closely with Seresco’s VP sales, Ralph Kittler, who is TC 9.8’s revisor responsible for the chapter which covers Natatorium Design (Large Building Air Conditioning Applications) in ASHRAE’s 1999/2003/2007/2011 Applications Design Handbooks. Geoff first started at Seresco nearly 11 years ago working in the factory prior to attending Carleton university to study electrical engineering and is, as a result, uniquely positioned to understand the nuts and bolts of Seresco’s pool unit offering.
